Ceramic sculpture demonstration by visiting artist, Benjie Heu, Head of Ceramics at South East Missouri State
October 24-25, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., continued 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. each day.
Benjie Heu will also present a lecture about his work at 6 p.m. on October 24.
Lecture by visiting artist and juror Anthony Stellaccio, Executive Director of Studio Potter
A reception and awards ceremony will follow in the Gallery of Art and Design.
The Southern Miss Ceramics National is a juried biennial exhibition of ceramic sculpture and contemporary pottery forms made by artists throughout the U.S. This year’s show features the work of 44 artists from 23 states across the U.S. Selected artists include: James Aarons, Carolyn Baginski, Daniel Bare, Kenneth Baskin, Jake Boggs, Vincent Burke, Kathryn Dai, William DePauw, Emily Duke, Curtis Frederick, Chase Gamblin, Ron Geibel, Chanda Glendinning, Seth Green, Sarah Gross, Justin Groth, Jason Hackett, Mia Halton, Brian Harper, Rebecca Harvey, Drew Ippoliti, Pancho Jimenez, Stacy Johnson, Chuck Johnson, Lauren Kalman, Ronald Knepper, Aleksandra Krasutskaya, Aveline Layne, Joseph Madrigal, Andrew McIntyre, Nicholas Meyer, Jeffery Michael, Amy Norgaard, John Oles, Matthew Patton, Dennis Ritter, Phoenix Savage, Catherine Schmid-Maybach, John Shea, Lauren Skelly-Bailey, Wade Tullier, Nicole Winning, Merrie Wright, and Valerie Zimany.
